Reddit IQ is built local-first. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your library — saved posts, tags, notes, analyses — never leaves your device unless you explicitly ask the extension to send something to an AI provider.
Reddit IQ is an independent browser extension published by My Growth Box. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit, Inc.
chrome.storage.local.chrome.storage.session (erased when the browser closes) unless you explicitly tick “keep this key on this device”. They are never synced, never sent to us, and never included in an export.Uninstalling the extension deletes this data. You can also erase everything at any time from Settings → Your data → Erase all local data.
Reddit IQ never analyses anything in the background. When you press an analysis button, the text of the thread you are reading (post title, body, selected comments) is sent to the AI provider that will process it. That is the only outbound transfer of content, and it happens per click.

To offer a few free analyses without asking you to create an account, the extension calls a small server (a Cloudflare Worker) that holds our provider credentials. That service receives:
No advertising identifier, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. The free tier is billed by us; it does not require a payment method and does not create a profile.
Depending on the configuration of the free tier and on the key you provide, thread text may be processed by one of the following providers. Each applies its own privacy policy:

Since your content is stored locally, you exercise your rights directly: Settings → Your data lets you export everything (JSON), erase everything, or inspect storage usage. For the free tier, the only data processed is the thread text of a single request and a daily counter keyed by a random identifier; neither is linked to an identity, and both expire within 48 hours.

If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date above changes and the new version is published at this URL. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
